Due to the nationwide phase-out of the copper network, our fax service will be discontinued from 1 November 2026. This change also supports our ongoing work to provide secure, modern and accessible communication channels.
A dispatch fee is charged whenever PRV sends documents or other materials to customers. The fee applies regardless of whether the delivery is made electronically or by post.

One major improvement is the introduction of a single search entry point to PRV’s databases, making it easier for users to find relevant information. This upgrade is part of a larger transition to modern systems based on the latest technology.
From 1 January 2026, the EPO smartcard will no longer work in PRV’s e-services. This means that you will no longer be able to use the smartcard to file applications in Web Filing for patents or to log in to My pages – Patent. Please note that the EPO card in Web filing of patent documents will stop working on 16 December 2025.
PRV has decided on new patent regulations that will come into effect from the turn of the year.
