Intellectual property is the law that protects patents, trademarks, design and copyright.
Search for articles and books
Use the discovery service BiblioteksSök to gain access to articles and books specialized in intellectual property. There are both electronic literature, which you can read directly on the premises or printed literature which you can borrow. Books that have been placed in storage can be retrieved directly.

Here you can search among our e-books. Please note that to read or download an e-book you need to visit the library to become a registered user. After the registration, you can download it from home.

Laws, preparatory material and legal cases
The databases and printed material are all in Swedish and can only be accessed in the library.
Lexpress monitors the courts that make decisions in intellectual property disputes. Here you can find rulings from, among others, the district courts, the courts of appeal, the Patent and Market Court, and the Supreme Court of Sweden. Rulings from the General court of the European Union and the Court of Justice of the European Union are also available.
Parliamentary documents, Swedish Code of Statutes (SFS), Government official Reports (SOU), and Ministry Publication Series (Ds) are also available in print.

Search for technical literature
BiblioteksSök provides access to printed and electronic articles, journals and books – which describe technical innovations in various fields of research. Espacenet provides access to more than 110 million documents from all over the world.

The Swedish Patent Database
Swedish Patent Database provides complete access to Swedish patents, Swedish public patent applications and European patents validated in Sweden. The patent database includes documents from 1885 until present day. Searches can be performed in Swedish and English.

Swedish Historical Patents
The Swedish Historical Patent database contains detailed information about approximately 122,000 patents granted in Sweden between 1746-1945 and approximately 87,000 patentees (both organizations and individuals) and inventors.
The database has been developed by the Department of Business Studies at Uppsala University in collaboration with the Swedish Intellectual Property Office (PRV).
