Change of agent
You can give someone else the power of attorney to represent you before PRV, and let that person receive correspondence from PRV and reply to your notices.
In order for someone else to be able to act on your behalf before PRV, a written power of attorney must be submitted to us.
About powers of attorney
A power of attorney must be submitted in the original, unless it is a general power of attorney that has already been deposited. The power of attorney must be signed by the applicant, as well as state the applicant's company if the applicant is a legal person. The power of attorney must also be dated and include information about which patent applications/patents it covers.
Termination of an agent
If you no longer want the agent you appointed to represent you, you must withdraw the power of attorney at PRV in writing. We will then send any correspondence directly to you.
General power of attorney
A general power of attorney can be deposited at PRV, which covers all of your applications and cases at PRV. If a general power of attorney is deposited at PRV, each case must refer to the registration number which the power of attorney has been assigned at PRV.
